On 2nd July 2005 a-ha will play at the live 8 concert in
Berlin, Germany. The concert will be on the 'Street of June 17th' between
Victory Column and the Bradenburg Gate. The concert will run from 2pm-8pm,
simultaneously with the events in other cities. Confirmed artists in Berlin so
far are a-ha, Die Toten Hosen, Reamonn, Sasha and Bap. Negotiations are
underway to add more international artists to the roster, including Lauryn
Hill, Brian Wilson, Crosby Stills & Nash and Green Day.Five simultaneous
free concerts are confirmed with international rock and pop artists who will
perform in London, Paris, Berlin, Rome and Philadelphia. More informations:

a-ha`s new album will come out this year, probably in autumn
2005. Followed by an european tour. A concert in Cologne, Germany, on 29
October will be the start of the tour. In November and December a-ha will play
more concerts in Brussels, Paris, Basel, Germany and UK. Besides a-ha will play
an open-air concert at Hydro's Centennial Festival on 27 August in Oslo`s
Frogner Park. The concert is for free and the first chance to hear songs from

Magne will bring his art exhibition to London, and it will be
held at the Paul Stolper Gallery from 22nd September to 9th October. The
exhibition is entitled Paynes Grey (Drawing From Memory), and is a

On 17th march 2004 Magne opened the
Carnegie Art Award 2004 in Oslo,
at "Kunstnernes Hus" and
he performed three new songs. This is the first time these songs have been
performed live and it was the first chance to listen to Magne's forthcoming
solo album which will come out in autumn, on Magnes own label, Passion
Fruit. Magne und Martin Terefe are the producers of the album which was
recorded in London, Nashville and Oslo.

Mezzoforte is the song "Gildas Prayer"

Danton Supple (Mixing Coldplay). Other singers on the album are Eythor
Gunnarsson (Mezzoforte), Mathias Canavese (Les Negresses Vertes) and Michael
McGoldrick (Afro Celt Sound System).

The concert in Trondheim is part of
the student festival called Uka-03. The concert
will take place in "Dødens Dal" (The Valley of Death). It's almost in
the campus of "Gløshaugen", Gløshaugen is the university center

According to a press article the first album of a-ha (hunting high and
low, 1985) should come out again this autumn with bonus material (singles and
remixes). An exact date isn't fixed yet.
30th august 2003 Morten will take part at the Mosjonsløp 2003 (a
run about 2 km) in Kristiansand (Norway). Before the run he will perform at the
opening show (at 12 o'clock). At the end of the run Morten will give medals to

Morten Harket attended the wedding of the Norwegian financial person
Øystein Stray Spetalen in Sandefjord on Saturday. According to the local
newspaper Sandefjords Blad, Morten did a solo-concert for more than 200 guests

album in the Strong Room Studio in London. During the recording of the

Prize concert on 11th december 2001. The ballade Hunting high and
low and a new song called Differences. Magne said to the song:
This isnt really a song, its more like a shout for help -
well, not really a shout, more like a croak."A documentary about the women
in Afghanistan inspired Magne to write this song. The film is called Beneath
the Veil. The song will not be found on the new a-ha album and a single
release is also not planed.
Saturday (27th october 2001) the Adventure of the Seas had its maiden
voyage. The ship is 311 meters long. About 4000 passengers and a crew of 1185
persons can be on the ship at the same time. The shipping company Royal
Carribean Cruise Lines (RCCL), which is in norwegian hands for 25%, spent a lot
of money to make the cruise ship as luxurious as possible. No less than 74
million norwegian kroner were spent only on art. Magne is one of the 27 artists
represented. His work Axiom is a series of gigantic glass paintings,
eleven storeys high! "I think that the images work really well," Magne
says. "There are many things present here that cry for attention, so it's
important to 'steal' a room which defines its own personality. Those images are
not exactly subdued, and were created to make some 'noise'."

Morten will be one of the solists on a new
Christmas album, which will be released in Norway. Producer Svein Gundersen
from Ski has been working on five different albums for Christmas 2001. One of
those is an anniversay album by Sølvguttene, a Norwegian choir which
celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. The occasion calls for a special
album with organ, harp, choir and many guest solists, like Morten Harket,
Sondre Bratland, Jørn Hoel, Ole Edvard Antonsen, Erik Bye, Steinar
Ofsdal, Benedicte Adrian and Jan Werner.
The album was recorded in the
Uranienborg church and in the studio.
